The first mission paid for in ÐANNOUNCED MAY 2021

DOGE-1 is a 12U CubeSat mission on a Falcon 9 rocket planned by Geometric Energy Corporation. The Lunar LSA contract with SpaceX was paid entirely with the cryptocurrency Dogecoin — making them the first crypto-paying customer of SpaceX.

Announced in May 2021, the plan commenced to launch a small satellite into lunar orbit to explore the Moon and display images and digital art on a small screen on the lunar orbiter, broadcast back to Earth.
